The School Talent Show

Marcus was nervous. The school talent show was tomorrow, and he still wasn't sure what to do. He was good at many things, but he didn't think any of them were special enough for the show.

Marcus loved to draw, but he thought drawing wasn't as exciting as singing or dancing. He could juggle three balls, but he had seen other kids juggle more. He even played the ukulele, but he only knew a few songs.

That evening, Marcus's older sister, Keisha, came into his room. "You look sad," she said. "What's wrong?"

Marcus told her about the talent show. "I don't have a real talent," he said sadly.

Keisha smiled. "Everyone has talents," she said. "What do you love to do the most?"

Marcus thought for a moment. "I love drawing stories," he answered. "I draw pictures and write funny stories to go with them."

"That's perfect!" Keisha said. "You should do that for the talent show!"

The next day, Marcus stood on stage with his drawings. He showed the audience his funny pictures and read his silly stories out loud. Everyone laughed and clapped. When he finished, the crowd cheered the loudest.

Marcus felt so proud. He realized that his special talent was sharing his creativity and making people happy. It didn't matter that he wasn't the best at one thing. What mattered was doing something he loved and sharing it with others.
